Squash - Cushaw
This is a unique squash that can withstand our humid weather here in Florida. It is also known by the name "Tennesse Sweet Potato". This squash can grow large, up to 15lbs, and has thin skin which is green with white stripes. This is an excellent squash to make pumpkin pie with!
When to Plant:
- North Florida: March & August
- Central Florida: February & August
- South Florida: February & September
Planting instructions: Plant in a spot with full sun and well-draining soil. Give each plant 36” of space between each other. Sow directly into the garden or start transplants undercover. Plant seeds about ¼ “ deep and water regularly.
Germination time: 4 - 9 Days
Days to Maturity: 40 - 50 days
Number of seeds per pack: 30-40
