Spearmint

Mint does not grow true to type from seed, so it’s hard to nail down the exact variety. Either way, mint grows almost like a weed in Florida. It will take over a growing space so it’s best to plant it in a container. It smells fantastic and its bright green foliage makes it a great container plant for the front door.

Type: Heirloom

When to Plant: In North and Central Florida it’s best to plant Cilantro in the early spring and in the early fall, these are the months of March and August. In South Florida, you have an extended planting season of October through February.

Planting instructions: Plant in a spot with full sun and well-draining soil. Give each plant 12-18” of space between each other. You can sow directly in the garden or transplant seedlings. Plant seeds about ¼” deep and water regularly.

Germination time: 10-14 Days

Number of seeds per pack: 30-50
