Lemon Balm

Melissa officinalis, this herb has a very distinct lemon flavor and aroma. Great for teas and salads. Like mint, this herb can take over a planting area so it’s best to grow in a container.

Type: Heirloom

When to Plant: In North and Central Florida it’s best to plant Cilantro in the early spring and in the early fall, these are the months of March and August. In South Florida, you have an extended planting season of October through February.

Planting instructions: Plant in a spot with full sun and well-draining soil. If planting with other herbs, give lemon balm 1-2 feet of space between each plant. You can sow directly in the garden or transplant seedlings. Plant seeds about ¼” deep and water regularly.

Germination time: 7-14 Days

Number of seeds per pack: 30-40
