Ready to grow some awesome tomatoes in your Florida garden? Check out our live plant plugs featuring three tomato varieties that love Florida as much as you do—Everglades, Black Cherry, and Yellow Flame. These are super easy to grow and will keep you stocked with fresh tomatoes all season long.

Here’s What Makes Them Great:

  • Everglades Tomato: This little guy is a Florida superstar! It handles the heat and pests like a champ, giving you tons of sweet, cherry-sized tomatoes that just keep coming.
  • Black Cherry Tomato: Want rich, flavorful tomatoes? The Black Cherry has you covered. These deep purple beauties are perfect for snacking or adding a pop of flavor to your salads.
  • Yellow Flame Tomato: Bright, golden, and sweet—Yellow Flame tomatoes are as tasty as they are eye-catching. Plus, they thrive in Florida’s sunny weather.

Grown With Care:
We’ve given these plants a strong start by growing them in soil blocks made from a special mix of coco coir, coco loco, wool, and vermiculite. This blend is perfect for helping roots grow strong and healthy. The best part? These soil blocks help reduce transplant shock, so your plants can settle into your garden more easily and start growing quickly!

What to Do When Your Plants Arrive:

Once your tomato plugs arrive, you’ve got two great options: you can either transplant them directly into your garden or plant them in at least a 4-inch pot.

If you’re planting them straight into the garden, it’s important to give them a little extra TLC while they get used to their new home, especially after their journey. You can create some temporary shade using things you might already have around the house. Try placing a few stakes around the plants and draping a light cloth, like an old pillowcase or a sheer curtain, over them. You can also use an upside-down laundry basket or even a big umbrella to give them a break from the sun during the hottest part of the day.

Whether you’re planting in the garden or a pot, be sure to bury the transplants deep. Tomatoes will grow roots along their stems, so the deeper you plant, the stronger your plants will be. This will help them grow big and produce lots of tasty tomatoes!

Florida Garden Tomatoes

The plants arrived healthy and ready to plant after a few days of acclimating. Growing well, blossoms on Everglades. Want more in the future. Would like maybe to try some different varieties.
