Carrots - Chantenay Red Core
The Chantenay carrot is a stalky kind of carrot. They are thick carrots that grow to about 5.5 inches in length. They have a reddish-orange core. Chantenay red core carrots are one of the sweetest varieties of carrots!

When to Plant:
- North Florida: September - January
- Central Florida September - January
- South Florida: September - January
Planting instructions: Plant in a spot with full sun and well-draining soil. Give each plant 1-2” of space between each other. It’s best to sow carrots directly into the garden. Plant seeds about ¼ “ deep and water regularly. Ensure that the freshly planted seeds stay moist, this can be tough with carrots because they are not planted very dep in the soil.
Germination time: 7 - 21 Days
Days to Maturity: 75 days
