Cantaloupe - Minnesota Midget
This is an Heirloom melon that matures quickly, you can expect fruit in about 60 days from planting. The plant makes small, 4 inch wide cantaloupes with vines that are about 4 feet in length. This is one of the smaller growing melon plants and would even work in a container.
When to Plant:
- North Florida: Feb - Mar
- Central Florida: Feb
- South Florida Dec- Fab
Planting instructions: Plant in a spot with full sun and well-draining soil. Give each plant 18” of space between each other. Sow directly into the garden or start transplants undercover. Plant seeds about ½ “ deep and water regularly.
Germination time: 5 - 10 Days
Days to Maturity: 60 days
Number of seeds per pack: 30-40
