4 pack of Sweet Potato Slips.

Slips are little sprouts that have come off of a mature sweet potato plant. The slips you will receive are approximately 12 inches long.

Beauregard is a popular sweet potato variety for good reason. It is super easy to grow, heat tolerant, and produces loads of potatoes. I have personally grown Beauregard potatoes before with amazing results. We had 1.5 milk crates worth from just a few planted slips.

When to Plant:

  • North Florida: April - June
  • Central Florida: March - June
  • South Florida: March - June

Planting instructions:  Upon arrival, remove pants from the box and baggies. The slips you receive will be ready for planting directly into your garden. Plant deeply into the soil, and allow the leaves to be above the soil by 1-2 inches.

Be sure to water the plants well when first establishing. The slips will take a period of time to get acclimated to their new home, don't be alarmed if they look a t little sad at first. Continue to care for them.

Give each plant 12 - 14” of space between each other. Sow directly into the garden.

These plants will vine and act as an amazing ground cover. You can also trellis sweet potatoes.

Days to Maturity: 90 - 120 days
