When to Plant: This package of seeds has been specifically designed for the Florida garden to plant in the Fall time. This will have slightly different meanings to you depending on where you live in the state. Those in North and Central Florida can begin starting transplants in August to be planted into the garden in September. Those in South Florida should begin planting transplants in September to be transplanted into the garden by October.
Planting instructions: Plant seedlings in an area that gets at least 6-8 hours of full sun. Vegetables love the sun. Ensure the soil in the area has been amended in some way. Florida dirt is not ideal for vegetables.
Germination time: Varies based on the plant.
I enjoyed reading about Florida vegetables and gardening. I appreciate the Florida vegetable seed options and plan to order some seeds. I love gardening, but it can be challenging at times. Having sound advice helps me tremendously as I would rather avoid unnecessary pitfalls whenever possible. Thank you for the great articles and I plan to read through more.
I admit I haven't used all the seeds I got yet but for the ones I have, I'm really happy with them. There is a lot of information on the website that is specific to FL which I love. There is a ton of variety and the product came so fast!
This pack was perfect to get me started on my very first garden.
Planted my Fall Seed Pack, and man did they shoot up fast! I usually lay the seed in a little heavy with the expectation that I will have many failed seed; but didn’t need to this year - I have plenty of thinning and transplanting to do thanks to the excellent quality of the seed. And when I say fast, I mean I planted the broccoli on Saturday and had sprouts up by Tuesday - 4 days! Is that crazy or what? Thanks Josh. Your Fl selections are spot on. I look forward to a bountiful yield. Joan from North Central Florida
I was happy to buy seeds and advice from someone in the area with experience. I am trying to broaden my horizon and add gardening to our horse farm. Being a vegetarian, I am highly dependent on vegetables and would prefer to have more control over my quality of food! Thanks for the inspiration and information!
